How We Operate:

• Our top priority is simple: "Work when you want; don't when you don't!" This means our Massage Therapists have the flexibility to control their own schedules. Currently, we're particularly looking for therapists interested in working evenings (5-9 PM) and/or weekends. Each Massage Therapist is provided with a Google-based calendar to indicate their availability, allowing us to book sessions accordingly.
• We equip our team with everything they need to thrive. Therapists averaging 15 sessions per week (approximately 20 hours of hands-on therapy) can earn over $50K annually. This is a W-2 employment position with weekly paychecks, and you’ll keep 100% of gratuities, which are typically available immediately in cash.
• All services are by appointment only (no walk-ins), and we schedule sessions consecutively with 30 minutes between them. Our clinic is not located in a noisy salon or busy strip mall; instead, we offer a quiet, comfortable, and relaxing environment—just as it should be!

Job Overview:

• We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide therapeutic massage treatments to clients, helping them relieve stress, reduce pain, and improve their overall well-being.

Duties:

• Perform client assessments to determine their specific needs and preferences
• Utilize your knowledge of physiology to customize massage techniques for each client
• Administer various massage techniques such as trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, and Swedish massage
• Assist in acute pain management by applying appropriate pressure and targeting specific areas of discomfort
• Conduct physical examinations to identify any contraindications or limitations for massage therapy
• Provide exceptional patient service by maintaining a professional and caring demeanor throughout each session
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their goals and address any concerns or questions they may have
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client treatments and progress
• Stay informed about current medical terminology, occupational health guidelines, and industry best practices
• Apply your extensive knowledge of anatomy to target specific muscle groups and promote healing

Qualifications:

• Valid certification and license as a Massage Therapist in the state of Illinois, verifiable by visiting the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
• Proven experience in performing therapeutic massage treatments
• Strong understanding of patient assessment techniques and the ability to tailor treatments accordingly
• Proficiency in various massage techniques including trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, and Swedish massage
• Knowledge of acute pain management strategies and the ability to provide relief through targeted techniques
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and address their individual needs
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to massage therapy and occupational health guidelines
• In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and its application to massage therapy
• Ability to enter client data and session data into information systems (calendar, log, etc.)
• Ability to process client payments using standard point-of-sale routine
• Ability to handle cash and notate cash moves in a simple ledger as needed
• Willingness and ability to specify and maintain accurate availability on a shared calendar
• Willingness and ability to stay engaged with management through passive communication channels (i.e., group messaging, texts, email) as needed to coordinate appointments and related resources
• Willingness and ability to be punctual, always arriving before clients to ensure that facilities are ready and to cultivate your caregiver/healer mindset and energy

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
